Your account

Email and password, verification, changing your username, and deleting your account.

Your account

Everything on this page lives under Account in the dashboard sidebar. It covers the login itself, which is separate from the pages that login owns.

Email and verification

Your email address is shown with a Verified or Unverified marker next to it.

Verification happens once, right after you sign up, from the link we email you. If you never clicked it, the verification screen has a resend button. Signing up with Google or Discord covers this automatically.

Password

Choose Change password and give your current password plus a new one of at least 8 characters.

Locked out instead? Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen and we will email you a reset link.

Changing your username

Your username is the tail of every link you share, so it is the one setting with a cooling-off period.

  1. Open Account and pick a new one
Same rules as when you signed up: 3 to 30 characters, letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens.
  2. Confirm
You are asked to confirm, because this is not a quiet change.
  3. Update your links
Every old link stops working at that moment. Anywhere you pasted it, including badges in other people's readmes, needs the new address.

Deleting your account

Also under Account, behind a confirmation that asks you to type your username. Deleting removes your account, your username, and every page and schedule attached to it. Your links stop resolving. There is no undo.

If you only want to disappear for a while, turn Public page off on each page instead. Your schedule is preserved and comes straight back when you switch it on again. See Pages and usernames.

Reporting a problem

The dashboard has a Report an issue option. Describe what went wrong and what you expected to happen instead; that pair of sentences is worth more than any amount of detail about one of them alone.

For what has shipped recently, see the changelog.
